2 Stage Cooling
The Trane XR17 is designed to run in two separate “stages,” which increases the efficiency of the unit. At peak temperatures, or when the house gets hotter (like cooking for dinner, or when the doors are open for a house party), the system operates in the second stage, which allows for full (100%) power.

Aluminum Coils & Micro Fins
The system features all Fine-Spin Aluminum Coils and the air handler features aluminum coil micro fins. The aluminum construction is excellent for moving heat – which is exactly what A/C units need to be best at.
SRP Rebate
If the efficiency wasn’t enough, SRP (Salt River Project) also offers a rebate on the equipment. The amount of the rebate depends on the tonnage of the system (they range between 2 and 5 tons on average).
